Halle Berry as Karla in the suspense action thriller KIDNAP
FRANÇAIS
KIDNAP

Karla, Halle Berry, is a recent divorcee who wants to spend a day at the park with her young son, Frankie, played by Sage Correa. After a busy morning at the diner where she works the two are finally free to go to the amusement park. It doesn't take long for Frankie to be kidnapped by a mysterious couple in a beat-up car. Karla sees this go down and she goes chasing that car and the mad duo who took her son. It is the craziest movie I ever saw! The tiny Karla is relentless! And strangely enough, it was so insane that I enjoyed it and I had to see how this crazy plot was going to unfold. If you are in the mood for crazy, I mean real crazy, this is the movie for you! If not, do look it up when it comes out on video. Only then will you know what I meant.

THE TRIP TO SPAIN

Two food critics reunite on a journey to the best restaurants, hotels and tourist spots in Spain. Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon are gifted mimics who try to outdo each other's brilliant impressions of the likes of Roger Moore, Michael Caine, Mick Jagger, John Hurt. They use many cultural references like the song The Windmills of Your Mind or The Rain in Spain all the way to the heroes of Miguel de Cervantes famous book Don Quixote to work through their midlife crisis. Like the last movies of this series it is a hugely enjoyable journey through Spain. The cinematography is breath taking and we feel for the two protagonists. The end is ambiguous. I am not sure what to make of it but time well spent!

Il n'y a pas vraiment d'histoires cohérentes c'est l'absurde all the way!

Florence Pugh as Katherine
LADY MACBETH

A beautiful young woman, Florence Pugh as Katherine,  arrives at the estate of her husband's father where he lives under the older man's control. Both men are not enchanted with the new wife: the father because she does not produce an heir, the son because he feels no passion for her at all. Slowly and subversively she takes what she wants and consumes it without a thought for tomorrow. When her misbehavior is reported to her husband's father and he attempts to subjugate her, we see the true nature of this deliciously evil girl. The costumes, the decor and the cast: Cosmo Jarvis as the lover Sebastian, Naomi Ackie as the maid Anna, Paul Hilton as the disenchanted husband and Christopher Fairbank as the controlling father: provide constant tension to this story of murder and betrayal.
